Vitamin C
Vitamin C is called the vitamin of health and youth, because he has a strong anti-inflammatory effect, improves the immune system and slows the aging process. Cosmetic products with vitamin C are great for all skin types, as they have a complex effect on several common cosmetic problems: skin aging, wrinkles, telangiectasia, rosacea, age spots, post-acne spots, the negative effects of smoking. At high concentrations, its use is recommended since 25 for preventing age-related changes and other undesirable cosmetic effects, as about at this age our cells cease to recover as efficiently as in the age of 18-20, and the aging process starts. Regular application of the vitamin C cosmetics on the skin is more effective than the one-time use of larger doses in pills or food additives. Experiments confirmed that after complete absorption by the skin ascorbic acid is not removed by washing, rubbing or sweating for three days. Vitamin C, as a part of cosmetic, has several functions: Acts as an active antioxidant that blocks the action of free radicals which trigger oxidation and aging; Gives beneficial effect on blood vessels and capillaries, reducing their fragility, helps prevent telangiectasia and rosacea; Prevents excessive pigmentation, and helps to lighten existing dark spots; Protects collagen and stimulates the biosynthesis of new collagen fibers, thus delaying the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of the skin; Protects the skin against photo-damage and prevents its photo aging, helps to restore the skin after ultraviolet irradiation; Provides normal keratinization of the skin and rapid healing of minor injuries; Reduces inflammation on the skin, as well as post-acne symptoms (scars and pigment spots); Reduces dark circles under the eyes; Gives the skin a healthy color and shine.
